Jacob’s Well Governance

Jacob’s Well hopes to break the poverty cycle by sinking fresh water wells in villages, establishing health and resource centres and providing life changing education for children from tribal villages and the slums.

Jacob’s Well Foundation was founded in 2005, is registered as a not-for-profit company, with offices in Melbourne and New Delhi.

In India, donors are eligible to get 100% tax exemption according to Income Tax U/S 80-G. Tax deductible receipts in India for donations to the Jacob's Well Foundation will be issued by Jacob's Well Foundation.

In Australia, Jacob’s Well Foundation Ltd ABN 28 152 740 344 is a partner for Project J53 with Global Development Group (ABN 57 102 400 993), an AusAID approved NGO carrying out quality humanitarian projects with approved partners to relieve poverty and provide long term solutions. Global Development Group takes responsibility for the project according to AusAID rules, providing a governance role and assisting in the areas of planning, monitoring and evaluating and auditing to ensure that the project is carried out to Australian requirements.
