Rejoice Multipurpose Hall

The laying of the roof slab was a momentous occasion. To ensure strength the slab had to be laid in one run, therefore 84 men and women laboured in 44 degree temperatures from 9:30 am to 2:30 am the next morning. Half a dozen women carried water from the local spring all day and for the next fortnight they watered the slab to ensure it cured correctly.
